I’ve been hearing this for quite sometime, that Adobe is coming out with an online photo editing tool. The day finally came, and if you haven’t seen, you can check out the beta release of Adobe Photoshop Express. It would be unfair to compare this with the full version of Photoshop, its a great utility for people who wish to store & brush up photos online.

Now, the battle heat up. While PS Express lets you import & edit your Picasa, Facebook and Photobucket photos. It’s not surprising to note that the ever popular Flickr is missing. I guess, Picnik smelled whats Adobe’s cooking and teamed up with Flickr. Now you’ve Picnik in Flickr or Flickr in Picnik, beside Picasa, Photobucket etc. Beside that all premium features are now FREE.

I won’t deny that I’m a Photoshop worshiper and it’s my daily bread & butter. PS Express, still in beta looks promising and my test drive was cool. But at the same time, I’ve been a self confessed Picnik addict for the past few months, almost a year.

Yawn… I’m busy or lazy… oh thats rhyme. Well it seems like the way of the internet is going full motion, I mean video. All new request has been to stream or embed video in online web sites. And let me tell, Sorenson kicks ass ;)

Seems like Mr Gates cooking up some interesting stuff for all those Microsoft bashers. After Surface, check out Photosynth.

Photosynth takes a large collection of photos of a place or an object, analyzes them for similarities, and displays them in a reconstructed three-dimensional space. So who knows my Opera House Sydney photos on Flickr might be the next ;)

Its quite an experience when I tried it. But a higher system configuration recommended.

Now the best part is, if I’m going out for a drink with a bunch of friends on a weekend. It’ll be lot more easier to split the bill (check video in “Possibilities”).

Mozilla announces the release of the Firefox 3 codenamed Gran Paradiso. This in no way represents a finished product.

There are still major issues. I haven’t had any stability problems, but there are bad memory leaks. Gran Paradiso, as Firefox 3 is code named, launches using about 33mb of RAM; after ten minutes of browsing that number jumped to 100mb and after a couple of hours it was close to 400mb — and that’s with no extensions installed.

Gran Paradiso Alpha 2 is being made available for testing purposes only, and is intended for web application developers and testing community. Please use at your own discretion.

Great plug in for Firefox, to switch between different version of Flash players. A must tool for any web developer.

I face some initial hiccup but after a while its smooth sailing. Sometime, it takes a little while when changing Flash player versions. And it normally work after restarting the browser. So please use it at your own discretion.
